Our mission - Because change starts from the bottom up
- At ONE BLUE, we were both profoundly shocked by the sheer amount of plastic waste we and the people in our neighbourhood produce, week after week. So we wanted to know how much plastic (bottles) we all throw away? According the EU, each person generated more than 36 kg of plastic waste in 2021. Our search to data online revealed that nearly 40% of all this plastic production is used for packaging, and in the EU, only 32.5% of plastic waste is recycled. A staggering 25% ends up in landfills, often outside of the EU. We may think it’s not our problem, but of course, it is. Discussions at the dinner table with our closest loved ones, family and friends, alongside reading articles and watching documentaries about the pervasive presence of microplastics in our food, water, and air, and the pollution of our beaches and oceans, convinced us that we needed to act. We cannot allow our children, grandchildren, and the wildlife around us to inherit a polluted earth. So instead of worrying further and waiting for legislation, we took the matter into our own hands.
- We believe that change starts within ourselves and that every small step counts. While banning plastic straws is a positive move, we need to go further. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, particularly those used for cleaning products that mostly contain water and some dangerous chemicals, we can make a significant difference.
- The idea was there, so we sat down together at the table with our laptops and started our research, started working it out, but now we also had to make it happen. We knew we had to support ourselves with the knowledge of specialists in the fields of chemistry, packaging, recycling. We found them and they helped us a lot in developing our idea and also showed a great commitment and support.
- And so here we are. ONE BLUE provides eco-friendly cleaning tablets that will dissolve in tabwater in our reusable spray bottles. This simple yet effective solution is a win for you and a win for nature. If we all take this small step, we can create a movement that will truly make a substantial impact.

- The name "ONE BLUE" has been thoughtfully chosen to reflect our deep connection to the planet we call home. Our only home, the one blue planet, is a precious place that we must cherish and protect. This name serves as a constant reminder of our commitment to safeguarding the Earth.
- The "blue" in ONE BLUE represents the vast, beautiful sea, a vital part of our ecosystem that has suffered for decades from pollution by countless dangerous substances. Today, the sea faces a new threat: microplastics. These tiny plastic particles are now ubiquitous, floating in our oceans and causing harm to marine life and ecosystems. But probably also to us.
- The "one" in ONE BLUE signifies our innovative solution: the one eco tablet that we propose to add to a reusable bottle filled with water. This single, powerful tablet allows you to clean your home, the place you love, without the need for buying single-use plastic bottles. Every single-use bottle we avoid using or recycling is a win for nature, the sea, the environment, and for you and your children and grandchildren.
